We're looking for a sharp, self-directed remote assistant to own the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the business running — from ordering supplies and processing timecards to researching marketing platforms and building better processes. Job Overview
- Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
- Work Setting: Work from home
- Location: Remote (Global)
- Salary: (USD) $20 - $26 an hour
- Employer: Cascade Home Repair
Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day operations: supply ordering, timecards, customer communications, and job postings
- Respond to customers professionally and promptly on the owner's behalf
- Research and recommend software, bookkeeping apps, and marketing tools
- Support owner-planned marketing campaigns — suggest platforms, build workflows, and execute (yard signs, mailers, email)
- Update company website and social media pages with helpful and SEO content
- Dig into platforms we already use and surface features or integrations we're not taking advantage of
- Connect apps and tools to automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual work
- Develop and document internal processes to keep things organized and efficient
- Take a pile of loosely organized tasks, prioritize them, research what's needed, and get them done — without hand-holding
Requirements
- Are obsessively organized and proactive — you don't wait to be reminded
- Are genuinely tech-savvy, not just tech-comfortable — you explore tools, find workarounds, and figure things out
- Possibly even know how to connect platforms (Zapier, Make, native integrations, etc.) to automate workflows (though this could be learned in time).
- Can juggle admin, operations, and creative work without dropping balls
- Respond promptly during agreed hours and hit deadlines reliably
- Have a mind for process improvement — you notice inefficiency and fix it
- Are comfortable with variable hours — busier spring through fall, lighter in winter
