Role Overview: What You’ll Do
Primary Objective: Support NRLFO (National Renewable energy/federal finance office) with financial administration aligned to federal standards and regulations.

- Provide expert support in accounting and financial reporting operations for the NRLFO Finance team, in close collaboration with Contracting Officer (CO) and CFO.
- Deliver staff training, both one-on-one and group sessions, on NRLFO finance procedures and tools.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for reporting and finance systems.
- May travel to DOE or NRLFO sites as needed for training delivery and project execution.
Essential Requirements & Qualifications
Required Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of NRLFO accounting/financial operations—expect to hit the ground running.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and federal systems like STARS, STRIPES, or FAST.
- Ability to prepare accurate financial correspondence, reports, and documentation while ensuring strict compliance with GAAP, FAR, CFR, IRS, and DOL regulations.
- Discretion in handling confidential data, full adherence to federal and company policies.
- Support A/P, A/R, payroll, and other financial projects under CFO guidance.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to support financial operations and decision-making.
- Follow and evolve SOPs with accuracy and efficiency.
