Customer Care Specialist - American Logistics Company

As a Customer Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of Company service and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within their respective department. Our team members work together with our clients to research and respond to grievances. This position also requires working with leaders responsible for the various departments to ensure retraining is completed with a grievance is found to be caused by human error.

Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming customer calls with a high level of professionalism.
  • Enter customer information into data entry systems.
  • Use dispatch systems to research specifics of grievances.
  • Problem solve transportation issues, and properly documents transactions.
  • De-escalate customer concerns/issues.
  • Read/understand maps and other geographical software.
  • Effectively communicate via telephone, email and messaging applications with a wide variety of customers, clients and employees.
  • Successfully navigate multiple computer systems and applications.
  • Sit, talk and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • When applicable, Specialists assigned to bilingual speaking roles with be required to meet all expectations in their designated language as outlined above.
  • Other duties as assigned based on operational/management needs, with or without notice.

Requirements

  • Ability to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be customer/client focused.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Basic software and web knowledge, and the ability to pick up new technology quickly.
  • Ability to handle high call volume.
  • Previous customer service and call center/dispatch experience required.
  • Work well with others, and be willing to help team members.
  • Ability to problem solve and analyze quickly.
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to speak Spanish fluently preferred.
  • Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
